For Remote: K-12 at their internet academy

Position overview

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a School Psychologist to support students at the middle school level. You will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services that help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, and you will work closely with teachers, families, and administrators.

Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Meal: 30 minutes

Scheduled hours: 40 per week

Contract length: 73 weeks

Key responsibilities

Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services

Write clear, thorough evaluation reports and present findings to parents and teams

Participate in IEP and 504 meetings

Consult with teachers and families on academic and behavioral strategies

Provide short-term counseling and support for students

Contribute to multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), including screening and progress monitoring

Assist with crisis response, suicide risk assessment, and threat assessment

Meet all legal timelines under IDEA and state regulations

Qualifications

Master’s, specialist, or doctoral degree in school psychology

Washington Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate with a School Psychologist endorsement, or eligibility to obtain one

NCSP credential preferred
