Job Description

Hackensack University Medical Center is hiring an ICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Join a respiratory care team at a leading New Jersey medical center. You will provide respiratory care and manage ventilators for adult ICU, intermediate care, and Basic Intermediate Care patients. Pay is $40 per hour, with a choice of 5x8 or 4x10 shifts.

Schedule and Pay

• 5x8 or 4x10 shift options
• Floating to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and Basic Intermediate Care floor required

Required Experience

• 1+ year of recent experience as a licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• 1+ year of ICU experience
• Previous ventilator experience required
• Willingness to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and Basic Intermediate Care floor

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license
• Current and valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS
• PALS

Physical Requirements

• Lift a minimum of 5 lbs.
• Push and pull a minimum of 5 lbs.
• Stand a minimum of 1 hour per day
• Regular contact with medical personnel and visitors
