Location: Penn Yan, NY

Pay Rate: $25–$28 per hour

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Shift: Full-Time Days (5x8s / 40 hours per week)

Hours: Between 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Overview

We are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Patient Access Team Lead to join the team at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan, NY. This role involves overseeing daily patient registration operations, supporting registration staff, and ensuring accurate and efficient patient check-in processes.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate with Patient Access or Patient Financial Services experience who is ready to take on a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support Patient Access staff in daily operations.
• Oversee patient registration, check-in, and insurance verification.
• Ensure referrals and authorizations are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor front-end collections and registration accuracy.
• Assist with resolving staff concerns and operational challenges.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve patient access workflows.
• Support efficient and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Patient Access or Patient Financial Services experience.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 codes.
• Experience with front-end collections.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

License or Certification: Not required.
