Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Level 3 RN) to join our OB team. You will care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients across high, moderate, and low risk, working alongside an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced, family-centered setting.

Job Details

• Position: Level 3 RN, Labor & Delivery (OB Registered Nurse)
• Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
• Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, rotating shifts
• Job type: Full-time, in person
• Pay Range : Upto $70/hr.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients (high, moderate, and low risk)
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team in Labor & Delivery
• Prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Deliver patient- and family-centered care
• Train and maintain competencies across multiple OB modes of care and delivery
• Float among OB/GYN units as needed to meet changing patient volume and acuity

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license (NY only)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• OB operating room (OR) experience
• OB triage experience
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics

Schedule and Work Environment

• 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• All schedules are rotating shifts
• Floating among OB/GYN units is part of the role
