Emergency Room Nurse

Overview

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The ED RN assesses patient need, identifies the urgent or emergent care priority, and collaboratively provides direct care, applies appropriate interventions, and evaluates patient progress. The ED RN evidences skill in the use of various invasive and non-invasive procedures, treatments, and therapeutic interventions appropriate to manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations. The ED RN utilizes the principles of relationship based care to alieviate anxiety, provide information, and address pain/discomfort and safety. He/She assesses the physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients of all age groups, their families, and support systems as appropriate.

Schedule: ER D/N/W/Holiday rotation- SSMH 7a-7pm/7pm-7am - 36hrs/week

Travel Pay Package:

Weekly Taxable Pay: $1404

Weekly Stipend: $1267

Gross Weekly Pay: $2671

Blended Hourly Pay: $74.19

Requirements:

• Active NY State RN Licensure
• BLS Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• ACLS Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• PALS Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Stroke Certification
• One-year acute hospital experience as a Registered Professional Nurse
